Hello! I'm Laura Babb. I’m a photographer based in Camden, London, where I live with my husband surrounded by cameras and trinkets. I provide beautiful, creative wedding photography in London, Hertfordshire, Essex, the UK and beyond (especially beyond!).
I found photography quite by accident about five years ago. From the moment I picked up my first SLR I’ve lived and breathed photography, and now I’m lucky enough to call this my job.
Photography allows me to record life’s details, to create beautiful and playful images, and to show others how I see the world. Photographing weddings allows me to be surrounded by love – I love love almost as much as I love photography.
Other things I love include fascinators, portmanteau, the smell of autumn, symmetry, charity shops, power-ballads, cardigans, indie and folk, tattoos, art, and cheese (the stinkier the better).
If you’d like to find out more about me and the way I work, get in touch and I’ll be happy to send you a brochure.
My photographic style is quirky, relaxed and creative. I’m inspired by fine art photography, design, art, architecture and the world around me.
For most of your day I’ll be in the background, capturing events as they unfold, but we’ll also spend some time together creating artistic portraits that you’ll want to frame.
I love all kinds of weddings and civil partnerships, from the alternative to the traditional. Whatever the style of your day I'll work with you to create an experience unique to you, and I promise to make sure it's enjoyable and stress-free.
I also love...
...Coffee-table books and tea. Diversity. Brightly-coloured tights and flat shoes. Silly dancing, yoga and sleep. Period dramas, pink flamingos and Star Trek. Pretty junk, sweet things and cake. I love people-watching and creating beauty. And ellipses...
The books I love include The Time Traveller's Wife; Cold Comfort Farm, The Crimson Petal and the White and anything by Jasper FFord. The films I love are the likes of The Lost Boys, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Amelie. I’m currently listening to Of Monsters and Men, Beach House, Fleetwood Mac, Alt-J and The Civil Wars.
When we talk about your wedding I’d love for you to tell me about the things you love. And the person you love.
If you want to know even more, let's talk. I'll send you my brochure and we can get together for a chat.
I also run The London Wedding Club, a friendly networking group for London wedding industry professionals.
